Localized Unipolar Shear Deformation Autowaves in a Nonequilibrium Paramagnet

چکیده
It is shown that a nanosecond unipolar soliton-like pulse of the type localized shear deformation autowave propagating perpendicular to magnetic field can be formed in cubic paramagnetic crystal subjected longitudinal static direction external field. The influx energy stored ions into due nonequilibrium initial population their stationary quantum states compensated by irreversible losses caused damping its interaction with thermal lattice vibrations, defects, and microinhomogeneities.

Elastic-Plastic Invariant of Localized Deformation Autowaves
The parameters of localization patterns emerging at the linear stage of work hardening are discussed in the frame of autowave concept. The stress-strain diagrams have been plotted for the test samples of metals exposed to active loading. It is found that the product of phase autowave velocity and length has the same order of magnitude as the product of elastic wave rate and the lattice constant...
متن کاملShear Deformation in Granular Material
An investigation into the properties of granular materials is undertaken via numerical simulation. These simulations highlight that frictional contact, a defining characteristic of dry granular materials, and interfacial debonding, an expected deformation mode in plastic bonded explosives, must be properly modeled. Frictional contact and debonding algorithms have been implemented into FLIP, a p...
متن کاملApplications of higher order shear deformation theories on stress distribution in a five layer sandwich plate
In this paper, layerwise theory (LT) along with the first, second and third-order shear deformation theories (FSDT, SSDT and TSDT) are used to determine the stress distribution in a simply supported square sandwich plate subjected to a uniformly distributed load. Two functionally graded (FG) face sheets encapsulate an elastomeric core while two epoxy adhesive layers adhere the core to the face ...
متن کاملLocalized shear deformation and softening of bulk metallic glass: stress or temperature driven?
Metallic glasses due to their unique combination of physical and chemical properties have a great potential in various applications: materials for construction, medical, MEMs devices and so on. The deformation mechanism in metallic glasses is very much different from that in conventional crystalline materials and not yet fully understood. Here we are trying to find out what drives shear deforma...
